Do you love iced coffee? How about whipped cream? If you answered yes to both, this vegan whipped coffee recipe is just for you.. This coffee recipe version we made is vegan, and dairy free!
You are going to be so surprised at how simple and easy this recipe is. Try this cold on a hot summer’s day, or on a chilly winter morning with hot milk.

What is Whipped Coffee
Whipped coffee is a light fluffy sweet energizing treat. It is literally instant coffee or instant espresso mixed with sugar, vanilla extract, and hot water!
Whipped coffee is a very trendy topic right now, and so we decided to jump on board. Also called dalgona coffee, this recipe is named after a sweet Korean toffee candy.
After noticing this TikTok whipped coffee trend, we decided to make this recipe for ourselves. It seems that this dalgona coffee was all over Facebook, Instagram, twitter, youtube, and anywhere else we turned. We just had to see what all of the hype was about. Let us assure you, that the hype is real. This is such a delicious treat that you are going to love making.
By replacing the typical instant coffee for this recipe, with instant espresso, we added a kick to this already energy boosting drink. We did try to make another version using only 2 teaspoons of each ingredient instead of 2 tablespoons. The results turned out just as good. However, it makes it more difficult to whip.
Whipped Coffee Without Sugar?
You can indeed make this recipe without sugar. However, it will not hold it’s shape as well when whipped. Also, this will not remain stable and will lose any “fluff.” So while you can make this recipe sugar free, we do not recommend it.
You could even try some alternative sweeteners such as stevia or monk fruit. Make sure that the sweetener is granulated. The granules help form the structure.
Type of Coffee for Whipped Coffee
There are many different types of coffee to choose from when making this vegan whipped coffee. Any brand of instant coffee or espresso will work. Just be sure that it is instant, or this recipe will not work. Comment below what kind of coffee you used.
Whipped Coffee and Dessert
Pair this recipe with desserts. Try adding whipped coffee on top of a black bean brownie. Try dipping into this beverage with one of our whole wheat vegan chocolate chip cookies.

Begin this recipe by measuring out the ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl. Next, begin to whip the coffee mixture on high speed with a hand mixer. If you do not have a hand mixer, you can also use a whisk.
Note that if using a whisk, it will take a bit more time and effort to mix this whipped espresso mixture. Although this takes more time, the results are the same. The whipped cream mixture is ready when stiff peaks begin to form.
Once your whip is finished, transfer using a spoon or spatula to a glass of oat milk. Any of your favorite plant based milks will work just fine! Also, add some ice for a more cool refreshing experience! Finally, enjoy it by using a straw or spoon to mix this foamy coffee drink!
